Dreaming With God

My sweet Melissa,

Look at those planes. If you were on one right now, where would you want to go? I want you to dream BIG! I created you to live in relationship with me, with a vivid imagination and grand dreams. Tomorrow, take some time to write down all of your dreams and ideas on paper. Don’t set any limits or hold back- include every detail. Then, create something to remind you of these dreams and place it somewhere you’ll always see it. Instead of feeling alone tomorrow, remember that you’re not. You have a special date with me. It will be so much fun to dream and create together. I want you all to myself and for you to fully enjoy our time together. I promise you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to see what we create!

My encouragement for you is to embrace who you are and let your imagination soar. God created you for a relationship with Him, filled with limitless possibilities. Take some time to write down your dreams and keep them in sight, knowing that you’re never alone in your journey. God is excited to create and explore new dreams with you.

I remember a time in my life when I felt extremely lonely, even after I had a relationship with Jesus. I longed for more friends and a husband, and I often felt sad about being alone. But during that time, Jesus asked me to dream with Him. My roommate and I, nearing the end of the year, found pictures of what we wanted for our futures, printed them out, and placed them on our wall as a vision. Even though my dreams felt far away, that simple exercise helped me realize that Jesus is always with me, whether people are around or not. He reminded me that He’s my friend and He will never leave me. While He desires for us to have community, He also wants us to know that we are never truly alone.
