Guided by Wisdom

My sweet Melissa,

Follow your head, not your heart. You are very smart, and I have given you wisdom far beyond your years. I’m so pleased that you’ve always shared the wisdom I’ve given you with others. It brings me great joy to see you guiding people towards me with your words.

Now, it’s time for you to take your own advice. Trust your head-you know the right thing to do. Your heart can sometimes deceive you and lead you down the wrong path. Instead, stay connected to me. Keep me in front of everything else, and remain close.

I will move. All you need to do is continue taking steps toward the promises I’ve given you. It won’t be long, my love.

Love, God

I’ve always been more emotional than most, and for a long time, I let my emotions drive my decisions. I would follow my heart, even when it wasn’t the best path, and it led me to some painful experiences. The world often tells us to follow our hearts, but I’ve learned through many hard lessons that this isn’t always true.

When I sensed God telling me to follow my head instead of my heart, it was a new perspective. He showed me that wisdom and discernment, not just emotion, are what lead to the right choices. I’ve found that when I rely on His wisdom and stay connected to Him, even when my emotions feel overwhelming, I am on a better path. Now, I trust that He is guiding me as long as I keep Him first. Is there an area in your life where emotions have been driving your decisions? How might things change if you paused to seek God’s wisdom instead?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5-6
